Barcelona Ready for First Fixture at Renovated Camp Nou this Saturday

The club confirmed they will play at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou this Saturday. They will welcome the Basque side in domestic competition two and a half years after they moved out to allow renovations to start.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available with 45,401 fans will be allowed to watch under the licence granted. Once fully finished, it will accommodate close to 105,000 fans, a rise from the old capacity. Officials confirmed completed upgrades featured a new players’ tunnel along with upgraded changing facilities.

Preparatory Events

Barcelona held a fan-accessible workout at the Camp Nou in early November. They mentioned they are seeking authorization from European football’s governing body for their upcoming Champions League fixture versus the German side in December at Camp Nou. They have been hosting matches in the temporary ground.
