Indianapolis Colts Face Atlanta Falcons in Berlin – NFL Week 10

Guten tag, fussball enthusiasts. How are you? Alles klar I trust on this excellent morning kickoff to the tenth week coming straight outta Germany. The Olympiastadion in Berlin to be exact where at 9:30 AM EST and 2:30 PM GMT the mighty Colts (7-2) take on the Atlanta Falcons (3-5). The fifth game played on German soil and the initial in the nation’s capital.

Pregame Highlights

When it comes to glittering attire that is an real standout from the Olympic figure skater on the coin toss. A slight fluff from the broadcast team there as we hear “who won the toss?” from the presenter with an unfortunately hot mic.

So, the coin toss went to Indianapolis and have chosen to get the ball first. The Colts' offense will be setting up shortly. Will the QB bounce back after a difficult performance in Pittsburgh?

In a similar vein the singer belting out the US national anthem has some of the largest shoulder pads you are bound to notice. The fashion picks are impressive today. We are almost underway after a choir performance for the German anthem. Elegant.

Opening Period Gameplay

Scoreless at 13:30 in the first

And we're off! And we have an exciting start after Jonathan Taylor receives a short throw, gains 15 yards on the outside to the right then loses the ball … only for his offensive lineman to save his bacon with the recovery. Colts are in Falcons territory already.

Still scoreless at 10:51

And the excitement continues as the Indianapolis attempts a fourth-down conversion. The gamble fails to pay off as Josh Downs fails to catch a quick pass from Jones. Prior to the failed attempt Jessie Bates put a massive tackle on the Colts' tight end. The Falcons have come out fighting on defense as they attempt to end their three-game losing streak. Next up Sauce Garner’s debut!

Touchdown Updates

First score: Colts lead 6-0 at 8:36

Did Kyle Pitts just drop a touchdown? The Falcons player makes a crucial error, he was very open but the ball just slips through his grasp. That moment reflects the first round pick’s career to date.

So far, so disappointing but it only deteriorates for the Atlanta as they cough the ball back to the Indianapolis on the 23-yard line. Michael Penix Jr is hunted down and fumbles the football.

An agile 22-yard rush from Ashton Dulin sets Jonathan Taylor up to roll in for the score on the next snap. The placekicker skews the extra point wide. Mistake.

Falcons respond: 6-7 at 6:07

The quarterback recovers from the turnover by leading Atlanta on a long drive for a touchdown. Drake London makes some substantial catches to put them in the scoring area then the seas part for the running back to saunter on to the goal line through the heart of the field for 13 yards. He completes the drive for a short scoring run of his own. The Falcons take the lead.
